Public Speaking course curriculum for kids

Public Speaking for Kids:

This curriculum is designed to cater to two modes of learning: Offline and Online. The course focuses on building public speaking skills, confidence, and creativity. The Offline classes are held on specific days, and the Online classes are flexible based on students' availability. Both formats will meet twice a week for a total of 32 sessions.

Course Schedule:

  • Offline Classes (In-person):

    • Batch 1: Monday & Wednesday, 6:00 PM - 7:00 PM

    • Batch 2: Friday & Saturday, 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM

  • Online Classes:

    • Flexible schedule, twice a week based on student availability.

Offline Course Curriculum (In-person):

Month 1: Foundations of Public Speaking

  • Week 1: Introduction to Public Speaking

    • Icebreakers and introductions

    • Importance of public speaking

    • The basics of speaking clearly and confidently

    • Simple activities: Introducing yourself in front of the group

  • Week 2: Overcoming Nervousness

    • Techniques for managing stage fright (deep breathing, positive affirmations)

    • Understanding the role of body language in reducing anxiety

    • Practice: Short speeches in front of peers

  • Week 3: Voice Control and Clarity

    • Exercises to control pitch, tone, and volume

    • Understanding vocal variety

    • Practice: Reading a short story aloud with emotion

  • Week 4: Basic Speech Structure

    • Understanding the format of a speech (Introduction, Body, Conclusion)

    • Simple speech writing exercises

    • Practice: Preparing and delivering a 2-minute speech

Month 2: Enhancing Communication Skills
